Adrian has played in several big bands in the South East of England over the last fifteen years combined with appearances with many other smaller groups. He started piano lessons at the tender age of 8 years old and later developed an interest playing in dance bands and modern jazz groups from around the age of 16, following in a long family tradition which includes at least one internationally well know professional pianist.

As a long term member of the Apollo Big Band, Adrian says "the high standard of musicianship and enthusiasm of the MD and fellow band members provides a solid grounding in the varied styles of big band music played. I particularly enjoy the opportunity of playing on an immaculate Steinway grand piano at the Newbury Corn Exchange where the band appears annually." In the absence of “grand” pianos Adrian keeps fit by carryng around his rather heavy digital stage piano and amplification equipment for rehearsals and performances.
